Bridgetown Crash - Family Needs Help

Donazione protetta
I have created this fundraiser to help a family that has been torn apart by a devastating car crash. I have come to know and love this lady, Kay, like a sister, and her 2 children Khan and Odin like my nephews. Monday 10th June 2019, was the day their lives changed forever!!! It was Khan's 6th birthday. He was going to the movies and Timezone for his special day with his mum Kay, Dad Shane and 19mth old brother Odin. Just before they were ready to leave, Odin started getting restless. So Kay and Odin stayed home. The weather outside was windy and with heavy rain. Kay said goodbye to Khan and Shane, and off they went. Within 10 minutes, the car they were in (Black Holden Commodore) had crashed head-on with a White Toyota LandCruiser driven by a local farmer. From what we have pieced together, Shane ended up on the wrong side of the road, right where the overtaking lane begins. Shane died in this crash. The police did not think they would be pulling anyone out of the Commodore alive, let alone a child. Khan was flown to Perth Children's Hospital in serious condition. He was diagnosed with a bleed on the brain, fractured spine and collar bone and a few other internal injuries. He has been in a body cast (Halo Suit) since approximately 15th June 2019. As of 23rd July 2019, Khan still remains in hospital. Khan has told his mum some heartbreaking details of the final moments in the crash that any parent would wish they could forget. Since Shane's passing, it has left Kay trying to financially and emotionally deal with Khan being in Perth Hospital, 3-4 hours away from their home in Bridgetown. Which means she has to stay at Ronald McDonald House in Perth with Odin WHEN there is a room available, then having to move to her sister's place roughly 20-30 minutes drive away when vacancies run out. She has had to pay for Shane's funeral, paying mortgage on their old country style house they had agreed was to be left to Khan and Odin when Shane and Kay passed away, preferably from old age, and also trying to make urgent repairs to the house including replacing a broken solar hot water system which is constantly leaking water off the roof at a fast rate, removing an asbestos wall in the shower, applying security bolts to doors and many other things that are needed to make the home safe and secure since she would now be looking after both children alone. Kay has been left with many debts. Ones that she cannot afford without help. My family and Kays local community have been supporting Kay where we can. But the financial side is hard. That is where I hope you may be able to help. Kay and her children have a rough road ahead with rehab therapy, 2 times a day Brace releases, and having to make many life changes to accommodate Khan's lasting injuries, including Khan possibly never being able to play his favourite sport, Soccer again.. or even do something as simple as jump on a trampoline. Please help them. Every cent counts! All donations are sent directly to Kay. Please don't hold Shane's past transgressions or bad choices against Kay and her 2 boys. They are the innocent ones here. These 2 beautiful boys love their dad more than anything and miss him incredibly. Thankyou for taking the time to read this campaign. God bless! https://www.communitynews.com.au/pinjarra-murray-times/news/horror-head-on-crash-in-south-west-leaves-one-dead/
