One Child matters Dajabon, Dominican Republic

Hello All, As many of you already know, missions and serving others are a HUGE part of my faith and who I am. “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”‭‭James‬ ‭2:26‬ ‭NIV‬‬. I believe by serving others you are truly able to show the love of Christ. We are so blessed in our great nation to have the amenities and freedoms to worship, praise, and believe as we choose. Their are so many in different nations that have yet to know, feel, or see the love of Jesus Christ. In 2016 our church Storyside, partnered with One Child Matters. One Child Matters is a ministry that works to bring hope, truth, life, love, and mercy to almost 40,000 children living in poverty all over the world. I had the honor last year of being part of the one child matters missions team. My life was changed and I left better for the experience. Our team and the children had several very big God moments and our team was able to impact the lives of so many while we were there. This year I have the opportunity to go back and serve once again. I am looking forward to this and can’t wait to see how God chooses to use us. One child really does hold the power to change the world. “Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:3-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬.
