Phoenix Fund: Rising From The Ashes

Our dog Sid saved our lives. At 1:30 AM on Monday, October 9th Sid began barking insesently. Once coherent we relalized the house was full of smoke. Brian went outside to see what was going on. There were burning embers flying through the smokey air in our Coffee Park neighborhood in Santa Rosa. Wind blowing at 50 mph and visibility very limited.  Just then a cop drove down the street announicing over the loud speaker that we needed to evacuate immediatley. We ran inside, grabbed our dogs Sid and Sammy and tortoise Vlad and raced to our car. While trying to load up the yard across the street caught on fire. Brian ran over and doused the yard with water. We quickly got in the car and as we were backing out of the yard the house next door started going up in flames. The drive out of the neighboorhood was insanely sureal. Fire lined the streets overtaking buildings for a mile.

We are very lucky to have escaped unharmed and now it's time to rebuild. We honestly have no idea what this is going to entail but we keeping getting asked how people can help so we decided to start a gofundme page.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for your well wishes. Thank you to those who have generously offered to take us in. We have been overwhelmed by the love and show of support.

Love,
