Medical expenses for Brian Jimenez
Donation protected
Brian is the oldest of three siblings, he's 22 years young and had been healthy his entire life until January 29, 2016 when he was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma (“RMC”). RMC is a rare type of cancer that occurs exclusively in young adults with sickle cell trait. Brian's battle with RMC has been extremely difficult.
In early 2016, his right kidney and surrounding lymph nodes were removed. A few weeks later his physicians from CHOPS in PA began chemotherapy and radiation treatment. It was hard to see Brian go through this at such a young age. During his treatment Brian had to make various tough decisions. One in particular he dreaded and pushed off as much as his body allowed... After the treatment was complete Brian was eager to live a normal life again. He was looking forwarding to returning to school and work.
Frustratingly, after four months RMC returned. Brians’ strength and determination to beat RMC have kept our family strong. The next step in Brian’s journey to conquer RMC is MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
All donations will go directly to helping Brian and his family cover the medical and travel expenses. We hope that this new experimental treatment offered in Texas answers all our prayers.
Please, keep Brian, our family and those experiencing
challenging situations in your prayers.
