To Support Brian and Family

Brian, Tara, and their children need our help.  Last spring, Tara was diagnosed with ALS and it has progressed very rapidly. For those of you who are not familiar with ALS, it stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  ALS often begins with muscle twitching and weakness in a limb, or slurred speech. Eventually, ALS affects control of the muscles needed to move, speak, eat, and breathe. There is no cure for ALS, and eventually the disease is fatal.

 

Over the last few months they have tried everything to help her get better, but it has now progressed to the stage that Brian needs to be home full time to take care of Tara and the children.

 

It has been an expensive year for them, as they have been trying everything to beat this awful illness.

 

Brian is currently off work spending time with his family, with partial income and all the associated expenses.  As you can imagine, it all adds up very quickly, which causes stress that we all could help alleviate, especially during the holiday season. 

 

Firstly, we ask you to keep them in your prayers.  Second, if you are close, let them know they are not alone.  Lastly if you can donate a few dollars, this will help remove some of their anxiety in this trying time.
