Brenda McFarland, age 59, learned in early June 2012 she has been diagnosed with Melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer and the leading cause of death from skin disease.
Because she nor husband, Terry McFarland (Ebie's father), have health insurance, all treatments, surgery and medication will need to be paid for out of pocket. Treatments alone will set them back tens-of-thousands of dollars.
They live in Waverly,Tenn. and have a wonderful support system around them, so please continue to pray for her health and recovery. Pray the Melanoma will be localized and easily treated. Pray that Brenda's body will react well to the surgery, subsequent treatment, and medicine. Pray that Terry and his mother Bec, age 92 (aka The Cookie Lady :) and Ebie's Nanny), and Brenda's daughters will be a strong support system for the woman that has helped the family and cared for them all for years.
We are all thankful for the support, overwhelming positivity and sentiments, and care from doctors like Dr. Jackson.
