Phyllis was the loving mother of 9 children and 12 grandchildren. She passed away unexpectedly, the day the family planned to celebrate Chrismas. They courageously celebrated anyway through their tears, just the way she would have wanted.

I’ve known Mr. & Mrs. Breedlove for over 30 years. It started through the Partnership In Education Program with Holy Cross School and O’Malias Food Markets.
Mr. Breedlove was the bus driver with 8 kids, with the older kids attending Holy Cross at the time. Mr. Breedlove pasted away in 2007. The Family refinanced old cars, sold what they could and had help from friends.
Mrs. Breedlove passed away this past Saturday. We are planning the funeral tomorrow anticipating it will take place this coming Friday or Saturday.
Over the years I have worked with all 8 adult Children....Ryan, Alecia, Lorena, Kendra, Melinda, Tonya, Pam and Christina. I have also worked with 3 of the 12 Grandchildren Ben, Briana and Charlie. Presently Pam, Ben and daughter-in-law Stephanie work with me.
Working downtown I have learned that those with the least tend to give the most. This has been true for all the Breedlove’s. It‘s was obvious to me over the years that this is a trait that the children have acquired from their parents. I am proud to know the Breedlove’s. They will always be a part of my family.

Now the family needs to find a way to plan their mothers funeral and she had no life insurance. None of the family is well off or prepared to take on this extra debt. They will be meeting with a funeral director tomorrow(12/26) and need help paying for a tribute to the women who loved and raised them. They lost their father a few years ago and money has always been very tight. They appreciate prayers and any financial support as they mourn thier loss. This is a very hard working and generous family. I have been blessed to know them for more than 25years. I am her daughter Melinda's confirmation sponsor and her grandson David's godmother(hopefully a few others in the future), my daughter Lauren is her granddaughter Jasmines godmother.
