Bravery for Avery

Hello!
First we want to ask you for your prayers for Avery and his family. Secondly we are looking to raise money to cover expenses while Avery is at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee,WI.  Both Troy and Ruby (Avery's parents) need to be with Avery during this trying time and therefore can't work. Here's a snipet to catch you up to speed on the events that occurred prior to diagnosis and how Avery is doing.

(As written by Koni Cruz- Avery's aunt)
So let's rewind to the beginning. Avery was sick and they took him to his doctor who tested him and said he had Strep, they gave him medication which was working but his mom noticed he still wasn't himself and called the doctor back. The doctor told her to take him to have his eyes checked because he was having double vision and headaches. She took Avery to Shopko optical and they saw something and wanted to send him to another eye doctor, but thank god for a Mother's Intuition she said no I am taking him to the ER. After being diverted from AMC to Theda Clark they did an MRI and said he needed to be taken by ambulance to Children's of Milwaukee immediately for surgery or he could die. Dad beat the ambulance to Children's where we waited for some kind of answers as to what exactly was going on. The doctors said they found a brain tumor in his cerebellum which was pressing on the brain stem and that he needed surgery to have a drain put in to release pressure as well as drain the Fluid off his brain. The next day Wednesday he underwent surgery to have the drain put in and it went very well.
On Friday he underwent surgery to have the tumor removed, the surgery was almost 11 hours long but the doctors said he did great and they were confident the were able to remove the entire tumor. After surgery Avery went to the ICU where he stayed until Sunday when he was moved back up to the Neuro Science floor. Avery has taken many steps forward but also a few backwards. He is still very sleepy, he can open his eyes but is not speaking yet ( this can be common after this surgery).
He has an excellent team of doctors, surgeons, nurses, psychologist's, therapists and many friends and family with him. The doctors informed mom and dad on Wednesday that his pathology came back and the tumor is Cancerous he has Medulloblastoma. When he heals and gets stronger about 30 days they figure he will begin Chemotherapy and Radiation and treatment will be for 9-12 months. The most important part of beating this was to remove the tumor and they are very happy they were able to get it all.
As many of you remember Troy and Ruby went through something very similar to this with their son Dominic who fought but lost his 6 month battle
with a cancerous tumor in his spinal cord at the tender age of 7, so you can imagine how hard this is for them. I will try to keep you all updated best I can and our family is so thankful for all of you out there thinking, praying and loving on Avery and his family.
God Bless you all. Remember to share this page our family believes there is power in numbers and the more prayers the better.
Thank you in advance,
