2018 Missions Trip to Guatemala

My name is Hannah Brandt and my daughter Rebekah and I have the opportunity to go Guatemala in August for a short term missions trip with our church, Twin Rivers Worship Center in St. Louis.
This will be the first missions trip for Rebekah and we're proud that she's shown an interest in the needs of others around the world.
While in Guatemala, we'll be working directly with Casa Shalom Orphanage. Founded in 1986, Casa Shalom began with three children and is now home to 115 children from all over the country of Guatemala. Boys and girls come to Casa Shalom after being orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected by their families, and sometimes come from families who are simply too poor to care for them.
Casa Shalom provides a place where children can grow in a nurturing, peaceful environment. They are provided meals, healthcare, clothing and education. The most important goal of Casa Shalom is to show the love of Jesus Christ to these children every day.
Our team will help with work projects at Casa Shalom along with ministry opportunities outside the orphanage.
Our trip is from August 20th to August 26th.

It is a blessing to have this opportunity to travel to another part of the world and show these children that we're thinking of them and be able to show the love of Christ.
