Hello,
We are raising money for my mom's brain tumor treatment and $1000 in past due rent.
We are currently in Tanzania, East Africa. We just completed 40 years of work --pioneered by my mother, Nirvana-- to create the blueprint for an ecosystem to end poverty worldwide, starting with Tanzania. The blueprint includes business training, regenerative enterprise acceleration and a proven process to shift the cultural mindset to support thriving and success.
Lo and behold...
My mom, the pioneer and mastermind, has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor!
We thought she had two strokes within 3 months, but it turned out she was having seizures caused by the tumor.
She is currently taking anti epilepsy, mood stability, and hypertension reducing medicines and is doing well on those fronts. However, she now has only a tiny bit of ability to speak and the right side of her body is paralysed.
We are preparing for her to have surgery on Wednesday Sept 28, next week. We've arranged for the down payment, but we haven't yet collected pledges for the full bill. The amount we still need to raise is 4,000 to 5,000 USD. Then, after that, we'll get a quote for radiation and chemotherapy. See my fifth update, or update number 5, for more detail on this.
We also request $1000 in support to pay past-due rent. Because of past medical expenses up to this point, we owe 6 weeks of rent beyond the 4 current weeks that we can afford, meaning we owe 10 weeks and can pay for 4. We have a gracious landlord and can pay when we can, and help to catch up would be greatly appreciated.
We have cash to pay for food, transport, salaries, and other minor expenses. We no longer need massages or the like.

P.S. With the treatment I've already received for my arthritis, I've already felt improvement! I now sit down onto and stand up from normal chairs and toilets without pain, or with minimal discomfort. I still can't squat or bend my knees too far, (so, low chairs are painful) but if I keep taking vitamins and probiotics together with my healthy diet, the situation in my knees should continue to improve.

This fund is no longer also for me. I'm focusing our efforts on my mom.
Mom is at the point where she can't speak. And we desperately need help. We can't do anything without help. Can't pay rent, buy food, transport ourselves to meetings, pay for her treatment, anything, without help. So, I'm going to spread this message like spam.
If you can't help, that's ok. I know there are lots of dire situations in the USA right now too.

That's not all!
I, at the same time, was diagnosed with Arthritis and Osteoporosis likely caused by my diagnosis of poor enzyme creation in my stomach, therefore poor digestion and low nutrient absorption. I'm 27 years old and it hurts to bend my knees, sit, stand and just about everything else! Amazing.
We request support for living expenses and medical expenses over the next two weeks, as described below.
Medical Expenses:
Mom, Susan "Nirvana": Follow up CT Scan, lab work, doctors visits, hospital stay over last weekend, medicine, eye exam and glasses, one executive massage, transportation. Total: $1000
Me, Rebecca "Angel": Rheumatologist specialist visits, lab work, one chiropractic adjustment, a few massages ($20 for an hour!), medicines. Total: $600
Living Expenses:
Food, $500 for two weeks
Rent, we've already paid.
Housekeeper/babysitter's and one Business Colleague's salary and expenses, $600 for two weeks.
Dad needs reading glasses for $150
Grand Total $2850
Plus, Go Fund Me needs their cut.

Mom's first CT scan, although they misspelled her middle name: the first ° is the tumor, the second ° is swelling, which has already been treated.
I haven't yet been able to take a photo of her most recent scan, but the tumor is now much, much bigger.

The following was in the original post and is now canceled due to focus on Mom's daily health concerns, and the fact that she is now too weak to travel back to the USA.
Travel back to the USA: We anticipate a contract to close within two weeks, which will cover all surgery and living expense in the USA.
