This Summer I will be going on a mission trip to Haiti through the Sea Side Life Teen program in Hingham. From July 31 to August 7, I will be going to Duverger and Danndan, Haiti with 12 other missionaries from the St. Paul’s and Resurrection Collaborative to help the less-fortunate. Everyday I will be helping in different ways around the community. These activities include visiting neighboring villages, spending time with the elderly, helping to build a medical clinic, and playing with the children living in an orphanage. We will all be staying in the Kay Mari (House of Mary) orphanage with the 35 children and teenagers who live there year-round.
I am very excited to go on this mission because I have been hearing amazing first-hand accounts from many different teens who went on this trip in February of this year. They spoke about how they felt God’s love in such a true, personal way in their heart during the trip. This love lead to them deepening their relationship with Christ. All the teens have formed a great bond and go to Church and Adoration together every Sunday and Thursday. These teens have been my inspiration for going on this trip. I want to help the less fortunate in a real, first-hand way and I wish to have my Catholic faith strengthened through service. In today’s world full of noise and temptations, I know how wonderful this trip will be for me and all the other missionaries who are attending.
You can join in my effort to help those in need by donating to this mission. Your tax-deductible donation would help pay for my mission trip and help support Haiti180, the program that makes everything possible. You aren't paying for me to go on vacation, rather you are playing a major part in spreading God’s love to those who need it the most. Donation by check is preferable, but you can also donate through my GoFundMe page. Please make all checks payable to St. Paul's Church because they will write one big check to Haiti180 once all funds have been collected. Checks can be sent to 11 Baileys Causeway Scituate, MA 02066 with my name and Haiti180 on the memo line. If you wish to learn more about Haiti180 and their mission feel free to visit their website haiti180.com (link at top of description). Thank you for your consideration and have a wonderful Summer!
