The Bradens on Missions in Ecuador

Drew and I are very excited about a unique opportunity and we'd like to share the details with you:
For the past several years, our church, First Baptist Church of Hayden, Alabama has sent 2-3 teams a year to several remote villages in the country of Ecuador. This has afforded our church the opportunity to build ongoing evangelical relationships with the people of these villages in efforts to not only show them the love of Christ, but to build up a body of believers who will one day become a healthy, local congregation who are self sufficient and self replicating.
The goals our church have set in place for these villages are: 1) Share the Gospel, 2) Teach basic Bible stories, 3) Build and encourage new believers, and 4) Identify indigenous leaders from each village who can carry on the ministry. Some of the ways we've been able to achieve these goals are through minor construction projects, speaking and teaching in the schools, playing games with the local children, and night time gatherings with the locals:and that is where we come in!
This June, Drew and I have committed to be a part of one of those teams, and we're very excited! Our team will consist of 8 members of whom are mostly from a musical background, us included. In the evenings we will use music as a tool to draw a crowd and then tell Bible stories and share our faith. We're hopeful because of what The Lord has already done through our church's ongoing efforts, and we're waiting with great expectations of what The Lord is going to do through our team. We're are also preparing for our trip in several ways, and that is where you come in.
Prayer Support
Would you consider praying for our church's ministry in Ecuador, and specifically our team's trip in June? Here are several areas for which you can pray:
1. For the people's hearts in the villages of Guarumal, Galapagos, and Fatima, to be opened and accepting to the Gospel of Christ. And for those from our team to be given ample opportunity to show them the love of Christ through our words and actions.
2. That God would reveal potential indigenous leaders from each village.
3. For safety while we travel, as well as during our stay with the villagers. Remember, these are remote villages with extremely limited access to doctors and medicine. The nearest hospitals are hours away.
4. For abundant peace for those on our team who are leaving behind family members in the States, as many are leaving behind young children for the first time (us included).
5. Financial provision for each team member.
Financial Support
The second way you could consider supporting us would be through your finances.
The cost for each member to participate is $750 (with the other 1/2 covered by our church), meaning we are responsible for raising $1,500 total, which simply covers our air fair. We've set our goal at $2,000, which will help us cover our other expenses such as passport renewal fees, food, and basic traveling gear.
