Dear Friends:
Easter Holiday 2014, our father, Brad Klostergaard, discovered a swelling on his neck. Assuming just swollen lymph nodes, we went on with the weekend. But on May 5th, 2014, our lives were changed. His biopsy revealed he has, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, which is cancer of the right tonsil and two lymph nodes in his neck. Due to damaging side effects to the throat and neck area of conventional treatment, as a family, we decided to take an alternative route.
Dad began his natural treatment with Inspired Chiropractic-Maximized Living in Sioux Falls, SD. June 4th, our parents flew to Mesa, Arizona for five weeks for a more extensive natural cancer treatment. During his time there, they focused on advanced nutrition and lifestyle changes to build better health and a stronger immune system in his body. After five weeks they took a scan and one tumor was eliminated while the other reduced by 40%. Mom and Dad came home mid-July. They will now maintain treatment by going to Arizona periodically and Mankato, Minnesota once a week. Due to the alternative medicine route, traditional insurance does not cover. Maximized Living is sponsoring a fundraiser for our Dad and two other patients that are also battling cancer.
Our family has been fighting Stage III Squamous Cell Carcinoma for three months now. In those few, short months our Dad has shown tremendous strength and made improvements we could only dream of. At this time we are reaching out to friends for a chance to be a part of this fundraiser, by donating what they deem comfortable. Any donations will help and we cannot put a price on having Dad home and healing daily. Thank you for your time and God bless each of you.
