This is my son, Brad Romohr. He was recently in a three wheeler motorcycle accident and fractured his back and spine. When the injury occurred, he fell off the back of the bike. Due to the nature of the injury, this will impact his ability to work for the foreseeable future.

He just got an update from the specialist
-Fractured inferior sacrum (triangular bone at the base of the spine, back of the pelvis)
-Ruptured lumbosacral (L5S1) joint (tells the body how to balance and which positions to stand comfortably. This is what gives us Center of Balance). The L5S1 tells our legs what to do.
-Fractured L5 vertebrae (this is the very last lumbar vertebrae in the spine, the transition from spine to pelvis)

Brad is the main provider for a family of four and has always worked diligently to pay 100% of the household bills. This life-changing injury is something they did not expect, plan around, or have savings to deal with. He does not qualify for short term disability. He has applied for Medicaid, but does not currently have health insurance.

Right now, his specialist cannot determine if he needs surgery until he gets insurance and is able to make an appointment. if surgery is required to stabilize the joint, they will fuse his L5 vertebrae to inferior sacrum.

There are surmountable medical bills coming up as as well as future care. Additionally, he’s the main provider of his household. If there’s anything you can do to contribute towards his cause it will be much appreciated and money well spent.
