Human Trafficking Mission to Philippines

Human trafficking is modern day slavery and occurs all over the world in the form of labor trafficking and sex trafficking. In areas like the Philippines, girls from poor families are often tricked or sold by their families to a trafficker under the impression that the girl will have a better life as a waitress or a model. The girl is then forced to become a sex slave. The average girl is trafficked between the ages of 12-14.
My fellow youth leader and friend, Jackie, will be with me on this trip and we will be traveling the last week of June and first week of July. We will be going through an organization called Global Impact. This two week course/mission trip includes:
*Training on human trafficking globally and teaching on Biblical justice
*Facilitator training for Born To Fly, a child trafficking prevention curriculum
*Facilitator training for a prayer module that uses freedom tools to bring liberty, joy, and peace into individual's lives
*Experience first-hand Filipino culture and be a part of outreaches to high risk children for trafficking as well as to prostitutes on the street
Essentially, we will be providing children with a meal and a message that will give them the tools and knowledge on how to keep from falling into trafficker's tricks and ultimately preventing them from a life of sex slavery. My heart breaks for the victims of this atrocity, but there is hope! With this prevention method, you can be a part of literally saving a child from having to enter into this nightmare.
I am still needing to see $4,000 come in for my trip to cover accommodations, food, training, activities, and airfare. I appreciate any donation and EVERY prayer more than you'll ever know. I thank every single one of you so much for all of your support and encouragement and most importantly thank you for making such a definite impact on the lives of these children and the ones that will benefit back here in the United States from the training we have received. I have felt God impressing upon my heart to go on missions like this ever since I was very small child, so I also thank you for helping to fulfill the plan that God has had for me all along.
