Christmas puppy transport expenses

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tim and I'm helping out my friends Gina and Glenda in their efforts to get this cute little guy you see above from Glenda's home in Kansas to Gina's in Pennsylvania. I am trying to raise enough money to fly this puppy by commercial airline. Ground transport to the airline and the airfare for the flight amount to approximately $350. So why the additional $1000, you ask?

First, a little backstory. This is the sad part…

My friend Gina recently and tragically lost her beloved furbaby, Boo, who had been her constant companion for13 years, when he was inadvertently poisoned by a penny that, unbeknownst to Gina, he had consumed. When Boo suddenly began acting sick and weak, Gina , of course, took him to a vet. Unfortunately, the first veterinarian who examined and treated Boo failed to find the penny, and by the time a second veterinarian found and removed it, it was too late. Boo fought for days with a brave heart and tremendous courage far beyond what one expects in a tiny, 6 pound dog….but in the end the toxin was just too powerful, and, after a final visit with Gina, Boo crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Gina was and is utterly devastated by the loss of her closest confidant. She has a disability that includes panic attacks, and Boo was her “go to” guy. Boo went with her everywhere and was always able to calm her whenever anxiety threatened to overcome her. Gina has had a very difficult time handling this loss, as you may well imagine.  Many of you have been also been through such a loss. Over time, It affects us all differently, but initially it hits us all the same. Disbelief and utter sorrow, devastating heartbreak, hopelessness, helplessness, guilt… losing your heart dog slams us all like a hammer blow, and we all respond to it as best we are able.

Besides the heartbreaking loss of her dearest friend, and following Boo’s cremation, Gina has been left with a veterinary bill of around $1000 and, unbelievably, has been informed that they will not release Boo’s ashes until the bill is paid. Gina lives on a small fixed income and needs our help so that she can recover her beloved Boo’s remains and bring them home where they belong. Imagine Gina’s pain at not only losing Boo, but also facing the possibility of losing the most precious remembrance of all. Raising the money to pay the bill and recover Boo’s ashes is the long-term goal of this fundraiser.

And now the happy part…

Enter Glenda. When Glenda heard Gina and Boo’s story, she realized she had the best possible medicine for Gina and made the  amazing and extraordinarily generous offer to gift a 12-week-old American Eskimo Dog puppy to Gina! The two talked and, with your help, the end of this story will be a very happy one. Of course, Gina knows no dog can ever replace Boo, but what could ever better sooth the loss of a beloved dog better than the arrival of a new puppy.?

A mere $350 gets this pup, whom Gina is thinking of naming “Spirit,” to his new home where he can give and receive a lifetime of love.

Can you help make this Christmas a miraculous one for Gina and Spirit? Can you help bring Boo home where he belongs?

Even the smallest donations are gratefully welcomed. Sharing is sincerely appreciated as well.

Thank you, and please...hug your dog today.
