This page was set up to help a close friend and her family. The family was devastated to receive news in 2011 that Jeremy had a tumor in his brain that required surgery, diagnosed with Stage 2 Oligodendroglioma. First Surgery was 5/2011. They began treatments and Jeremy was recovering with some issues. Jeremy had to leave his job due to the residual effects of the surgery, scar tissue, and possibly regrowth of the tumor causing his working to become a safety issue. Numerous Dr appointments followed with Drs in Cleveland.
Roberta has been a trooper through her husband treatment. They are a close family and the love they share brightens the room. Roberta travels numerous times a month to Cleveland for Jeremy's treatment as well as treatment for her children's numerous medical conditions.
In December the families medical insurance ran out from Jeremy's job and the family must now pay for medical insurance out of pocket. There were always medical bills that were not covered for the family.
In January Roberta had seen a Dr regarding a lump she had found on her neck by her Thyroid, the Dr performed a biopsy to determine what the lump was.
On January 31st, 2013 Roberta received word that the lump was in fact cancer. She will be seeking treatment from Dr's and speaking with a surgeon to determine the next step in treatment.
On February 1st 2013 they received word that Jeremy's tumor is regrowing and malignant (cancerous).
This family means the world to many people within our community. They have been dealing with medical issues that result in numerous bills and travel.
The money raised will go directly to the family to help cover the costs of medical bills, travel to Cleveland and Detroit Michigan and wherever else they need to go in order to seek treatment. The money will provide a safety net for the family to not worry about income while they are receiving treatment for both of their cancers.
We need to help this family in their time of need. Roberta and Jeremy have and probably will continue to bend over backwards for anyone in need and it is our time to return the favor.
The Boitnott Family holds a place in my heart for helping me when I suffered a traumatic event in my life and I can never repay her for what she did but I can do this for her. PLEASE spread the word and help this family.
