The Blossom Art Foundation

Donation protected
Crosby Elementary School is so excited to have the Art Program back in the school’s curriculum, but unfortunately, they don’t have any funds to buy art supplies. Their teacher has to get creative and relies on donations to have fun projects for her students to work on. I’m currently a student at C.T. Bauer College of Business, at the University of Houston. Because of my passion for art and my love for kids I knew there was something I could do to help get these students the art supplies they deserve! So, I have founded the Blossom Art Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will raise funds for Crosby Elementary School’s Art Program benefiting over 700 students.

How?
The Blossom Art Foundation, has teamed up with Croby Elementary  to find the perfect Art project that will allow their students to express their creativity and most of all have fun, to sell their master pieces for donations! I have been working with the 3rd grade students by having them paint paper plate flowers with watercolors.

Each handmade flower was made with love, smiles, and are our gifts from these students to you for (any) donation you are willing to give!! (I am happy to mail flower to you if you're a not a local donor.  Please message me at DM [email redacted])

Why Art Matters?
Art helps all areas of development which has led to increased test scores, improved creative thinking, patience, determination, and reduced stress.

Creative Development is crucial for innovation and adaptation allowing children to think in diverse ways. These skills help children problem solve and use their imagination in a safe and positive environment.

Emotional Development is also gained from art  expression. Allowing children to gain self-confidence and express emotions through their art when verbalizing may be difficult. Art is an outlet that helps children tap into their thoughts and feelings.

Cognitive Development helps children enhance academic thinking, recording their thoughts and ideas that can be conveyed to someone else. Devolving visual perception by taking an image and giving it meaning.

Physical Development is developed by using eye-hand coordination allowing children to practice motor control. This muscle development will assist with writing skills.

Imagination is the door to all possibilities. Trying new ways of doing things and experimenting helps developed critical thinking for creative problem solving.

I’m honored to have worked with such a wonderful group of children, and hope that the Blossom Art Foundation can make a real difference at Crosby Elementary. With Rodeo Art fast approaching in March, it's my desire to raise enough funds for apporpaite supplies needed. My goal is to make Art class  enjoyable for all students and give them something to look forward to experiencing.

“With your gift, we can help these kids blossom one flower at a time!”
