Bloody Shame Short Film

Last year was an amazing year for me.  I got my life together in so many ways.  But...I’ve struggled to figure out where my place is in the creative world anymore.   I’ve gotten a better job, started a small side business of my own...but I wasn’t sure if I was an actor or creator anymore.  Debt and bills had taken the glimmer away from the hustle and bustle of the stage.

I ended up writing this scene to help a friend develop material for her reel...and then someone said to me, “You should make this a short film.” For the first time in a while, I was excited.  Excited to sit down and write drafts.  Excited to hunt down a location and choose a cinematographer.  Just...excited :) 

So, I’m producing this short film.   My short film.  The story takes place at some headlines from Hollywood scandal of today and sets it in the 1940s.  A Hollywood titan, who has ruled his mount in the entertainment world however his passions have seen fit, has a run in with a dame that will show him his choices have been a bloody shame.  

Funds will be used to pay the cinematographer and pay for the location rental.  I’m keeping the filming right in my hometown of Pedro, which I am very proud to say.  We also will be submitting it to the Cannes Film Festival.

I know that there are many worthy, in fact far more worthy causes you can give your money to.  But if you have $5 to send our way I would be truly grateful.  This film won’t change the world.  It won’t be a great social piece that will rock the ages.  However, it is special to me.  It’s my first short film.
