Blisters for Boston

Donation protected
After the Boston Marathon bombings we were all deeply moved to do something positive to show that love has a louder voice than hate. However, when we discovered that Charlie's cousin, Stephanie Benz, was one of the victims of the second blast we couldn't sit idly by.

We decided to run the Portland Marathon because it is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Boston victims. Friends and family across the country have joined our team and we will be running 26.2 miles in solidarity against hate and to show our support for Stephanie and the other's who were injured or lost their lives.

Our team, Blisters for Boston, has a goal to raise $10,000 to cover Stephanie's medical bills. The One Fund's dollars have quickly being allotted to "higher" level injuries. We do not want this to be the reason Stephanie cannot get the medical attention she needs. We pray for her recovery and hope that she can walk the 10K in Portland this October.

With each step we take we stand up to violence. With each mile we travel we spread love. And when we cross the finish line we will have spoken the message of love and victory over hate.
We run for hope, we run for love, we run...for Boston.
