Last Summer we begun a movement and a fight for Racial and Social Justice. We witnessed the first wave of a new generation taking up the Mantle of those that came before us to fight for the equality we have now. We collectively decided we have had enough of the injustices we are still witnessing daily, the oppression we still face everywhere, and seeing all of those with even less privilege suffer under the thumb of this rich racist white mans world.
We collectively showed that most of us already live in a brighter future in our hearts and minds. We begun the long process of educating ourselves about the realities of injustice. And we have started to achieve some minor victories. But unfortunately it wasn't enough.
Unfortunately, largely, in reality NOTHING has actually fundamentally changed.
The Black Music Movement is committed to expanding this fight and continuing to push for Change, Equality and Justice for every single person living on planet Earth. We are extremely happy to announce that we are in the process of expanding to become a global movement, and to bring the Unity, Power and Education from last summer to as many people as possible!
We are so grateful for all of your support and donations last summer that enabled us to go on tour and travel throughout the UK, we were incredibly encouraged by all the love and support we received throughout the country. The time has come for us to once again ask for your donations and support so we can keep the momentum going!
Your Donations will be helping us to -
- Build a website so we can communicate with you all better and provide more content and support for artists, businesses and individuals who are doing incredible work
- Support our team across the world in starting to get the resources(Sound systems, Equipment, training, posters, microphones...) to get the musical protests going once it is safe to do so
- Print BMM clothing which will be put for sale on our website, with 100% of the proceeds going back into funding the movement
- Help start up projects that support young artists and provide our mentorship and guidance to empower and educate them
- Set up as an international non profit organization that provides a platform for our values and pushes for real tangible societal change so we can begin to see the results of this global push for a better, fairer & more equal world
We will continue to be 100% open and transparent about who we are, what we do and stand for and where every single penny of your donations go.
We are really happy to tell you that for the first 5 people who donate £20 or more, we will be sending you a free Black Music Movement Hoodie in a size of your choice, once we have them printed and ready to go. We are working hard to make the designs really great, so please ensure you keep the receipt for your donation so we can hook you up with one!
