Black & Blue Goes To FringeNYC 2016
Donation protected
Black & Blue is a new play created by Kevin Demoan Edwards and Katherine George . Simply put, it's the story about a black man in Brooklyn NY who is coping with the death of his cousin who was shot and killed by a police officer and how his life is changed after making an unlikely friend in an NYPD cop. Not so simply put, it's the story about how two men on opposite sides of a national debate are forced to find common ground amongst all the noise coming from mainstream and social media.
We wish the world didn't need a show like this. But, the sad truth is, we need it now more than ever. It's time for meaningful conversation to be had. It's time to heal. And this is our humble offering to anyone who is willing to stop and listen.
We will be premiering B&B at the 2016 International New York City Fringe Festival. As of July 19th, we have raised enough money to cover the registration fees as well as our insurance for the run. But we've still got a ways to go. Our actors and crew have been working so hard to make this show the best it can be. We'd like to be able to pay them for their time and devotion. We'd also like to make them look good, so we need money for costumes and the set.
In order to do this, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We need to raise another $7,000 so that we can present the best play possible.
Every penny raised will be put to good use. So, please, if you are able, donate to what we believe to be a very important project.
