Bintimani's Last Hope: Our Community!

Donation protected

The story of our restaurant is intertwined with the story of our family. Before Sahr and Baindu Josiah-Faeduwor met and married in 2004, Sahr raised the 5 siblings Sahr, Tamba, Aiyah, Xia, and Satta as a single-father for their most formative years. Together we preserved and fought to overcome our circumstances, and Bintimani has become the  culmination of our family’s collective experience met with community embrace.

We are grateful to the great number of publications, all within 2021-2022 that have covered aspects of the Bintimani Journey:

Evicted from this community by Boston Real Estate Collaborative, a real estate firm set on gentrifying Nubian Square, Bintimani and the Josiah-Faeduwor family were welcomed and embraced by their aspirational new home of Providence, Rhode Island.
