Give Cyndie Mairs some peace of mind
As many of you know, these last couple of months have had some whoppers land in Billy's lap. In July, We found out that he had pancreatic cancer, something no one wants to hear. We all wanted to hear a more promising diagnosis than what we got: Stage 3.
Then we had Hurricane Irma hit the bay area, and it was then that he was hit with an infection so bad that he landed in the hospital. Bill wants everyone to know that he cannot begin to express his gratitude for what everyone has done to help him and his family so far. Whether you were someone who came to help Cyndie, or provide Platelets, or just being another amazing friend; You are owed a debt we can never repay and we will forever be grateful.
Thankfully, we seem to have gotten past the infection, and he is recovering well in the hospital, but that was just the infection. We still have stage 3 pancreatic cancer to look at.
The good news is:
Billy wants to FIGHT. He isn't going to let cancer just have him. He knows it is going to be a long journey down a tough road, but he wants to be there in the hopes that he can come out the other side and enjoy whatever he can with the people he loves.
However, even with the best case scenario that he gets the best results from chemotherapy, it will only give him a limited amount of time. Eventually, we are going to be having to look at end of life care. We are looking to raise funds to help with Hospice and expenses during what will be an ultimately trying time. The goal is to offset these costs while he focuses on making sure he can spend as much time with those he loves.
We are all grateful for everything everyone has done so far, and we ask for your help to allow BIll some peace of mind in these trying times.
