Support for Billie & Punk

I'm fundraising on behalf of our wonderful friend Billie Curry who, on the 24th July, sadly and unexpectedly lost her fiance and soul mate Davis Abernathy at 44 years old to sepsis. Davis was a much loved friend, brother, son ,father and grandfather who will be sorely missed. It's in his loving memory we are asking for donations to support his family.

Unfortunately on top of the devastating emotional loss Billie has also lost her financial support and sadly his small insurance policy doesn't even cover the funeral costs, adding additional financial anxiety in the middle of grieving for a loved one.

Billie herself is disabled due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and unable to work so Davis was the family's sole provider. This leaves her to raise her beautiful nine year old granddaughter, affectionally known as 'Punk', alone.

We are asking for donations not for one specific financial burden, but simply to allow Billie to get through the next few weeks, pay for the funeral, pay her bills, and generally support herself and Punk without the dreadful anxiety of financial worries.

Billie has given so much of her time, support and love to others with Rheumatoid Arthritis through the online support group 'Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Squeaky Joints', where she is a much loved member and valued administrator.

Please give whatever you can afford, as soon as you can, every single dollar will help relieve the burden at this heartbreaking time.
