24-7 Care for Bill

My name is Jan Murray. My husband of 30 years is Bill Murray. He has been fighting ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's disease, since June 2010. Bill has been extremely sick the last many days. He has had constant choking with loss of breath to the point he can't be left alone EVER. I have been stricken with Type A Influenza during this latest hospitalization and church family and his brother, sister, and brother in law have stepped in to the point of exhaustion to be by his side around the clock while juggling their own jobs. I am still recovering and not able to be with him. Bill has been placed into an area nursing home but he needs continuous 24 hour caregivers at this time. WE ARE OUT OF FUNDS AND DESPERATELY NEED HELP PAYING FOR QUALIFIED SITTERS TO BE WITH HIM AT THE NURSING HOME WHEN FAMILY AND FRIENDS CANNOT BE. It is exceedingly costly, more than $130 and up for half days. We NEED TO RAISE money quickly to get this covered. Money will go to our church for proper disbursement of funds once received. There will be accountability. I feel a need to note that Bill's baby brother passed from this same disease a few weeks ago and his oldest brother a few months ago. Please help us keep him with us some time longer. Any amount is a blessing and a help from where we are now.
