Bill Brennan Medical Fund

Bill, my cousin, is suffering from an aggressive form of melonoma that started deep within his eye back in 2012. Originally treated with radiation therapy to his eye, the cancer later metastasized to his liver in November of 2015. Since that time, Bill has undergone a multitude of therapies, immunoembolization, microsphere treatment, and chemoembolization. Bill had some luck with Keytruda, a newer treatment, however, now even that is failing to stop the cancer. Throughout all of this, he has never missed a day of work. Bill now has cancer in his liver, lumbar spine, and lung.
But there is still hope for Bill. Bill has been enrolled in a clinical trial at Columbia University in New York. Melanoma tumors feed on arginine, a naturally occurring amino acid in all of us. The trial drug is designed to stop the cancer from getting arginine, starving the cancer cells. This clinical trial will require many hospital visits, labs, and procedures, all in New York. Some of these will be day trips, others whole weeks.
The funds from this account will go to pay the surmounting medical bills that they have incurred and will continue to incur.
We ask for your prayers first, donations second. Thank you.
