Ian's story:

Ian is 7 years old and diagnosed with Down Syndrome, as well as ASD. He is currently receiving Physical Therapy services in school, as well as outpatient. Since he was able to walk, he has always hyperextended his knees to compensate for his low muscle tone. It is the opinion of his PT that any exercise which could strengthen his thighs would serve him well. Ian loved the Rifton adaptive bike at his previous school in AZ, and was making progress. My husband's job previously relocated us to CO and the new school district does not have adaptive bikes. This would be a great opportunity for us as a family to include Ian on the numerous bike trails we have around our neighborhood, while also working on a much needed skill.
