Bike Concord is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization in Concord, California. We are working for safe, convenient, and enjoyable bicycling in our community.
We were founded in 2014 through a collaboration between Concord residents and Bike East Bay, a regional bicycle advocacy organization that covers Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Volunteers contribute so much time and expertise to (1) run a free bike repair tent at the Todos Santos Farmers’ Market, (2) engage with the City of Concord to encourage bike-friendly transportation infrustracture, (3) host bike-centered social events for the public, and (4) educate bicycle users to maintain safety for themselves and others on the road.
Bike Concord needs to raise funds to support its goal to have a Community Bike Shop. We are hosting the 3rd annual Tamales & Bikes Fest -- a holiday celebration hosted by Bike Concord -- on December 2nd, 2017
In the last two years and with your support, we've raised $15K. We need another $20K to make the project sustainable. Our prospect location is Olympic High School, who invite us to provide mechanic training program to high school students. We need your help in making this happen for the youth at this continuation high school. Please make a donation towards this cause.
Please note, if you're local and donate $100 or more, you'll receive a dozen tamales on December 2nd. More details to come. If you accept this gift in return, your tax deductible amount will be $75.00.
