Help Bethany Kick Cancers Butt

Hello, my name is Bethany Odom. I'm from Ewa Beach Hawaii, but raised in a series of cities and have over the years migrated to the south. My friends and family would typically describe me as bubbly and giggly. Back in December my entire life changed when I got diagnosed with Stage 2, Squamous Cell Carcinoma (a strain of lung cancer). Due to the incredibly large co pays as well as medical treatments and expenses, this has left both myself and family in a financial burden. Right now medical expenses by themselves are close to $3,000 per month or more, and honestly this disease has not only become an emotionally draining experience for my family and friends, but a financial burden to us all. I'm a current resident of Tuscaloosa AL, where I'm receiving treatment. Due to a series of chemotherapy treatments and radiation my liver has began to fail. Because the treatment center in our area only services up to so many things, I will be forced to go to a town about an hour away called Birmingham just to receive treatment. After doing some research, Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Southeastern Regional Medical Center located in Newnan, Ga offers a much better treatment facility with a wider variety of services. It's a financial burden to be paying at minimum $4,000 If you include the gas and room from treatment stays as well as my typical cost of living (Rent, Car, Grocery Etc) also including medical expenses per month if I remain in Tuscaloosa Al. Moving to Atlanta near Newnan would allow me to receive the medical treatment needed and financially save me money over time rather than shoving it into a gas tank and paying for hotel rooms. Just being extremely blunt I can't afford treatment anymore. All of this has began to be too much on both myself and my family. The money raised will contribute to my move to Atlanta so I can receive my first two months of medical treatments at the center in Newnan. I honestly feel as if moving closer to Newnan could potentially save my life. Thank you so much for taking the time to review this story.
