Beth and Greg's Life Expenses

Hi I am Beth.  I was diagnosed with cancer in 1997 and again in 2002.  The five years between the cancers was a blessing as The City of Hope had a new clinical trial to fight my type of cancer.  The unfortunate thing was that the 2002 treatment started with ninety (90) treatments of arsenic, a stem cell harvest, five days of full body radiation and a severe dose of Chemotherapy I do not care to remember.  Then the stem cells were put back into my body and I have been cancer free for 15 years.  The effects of the 2002 treatment are now truly affecting my health and ability to work.  My vision is bad and I am in need of my left eye cataract surgery.  I have balance problems (vertigo), arthritis in my hands and my shoulder, Type 2 Diabetes, and Neuropathy in both legs after standing for under one hour. I have severe back pain after standing or sitting for more than thirty minutes.  In fact, my back is killing me just sitting composing this letter!  The original cancer presented in my mouth and I have dentist bills over $9,000.  Collection agencies are hounding me and including medication costs I can barely live modestly.  In reality I just have to juggle bills each month, but our modest income does not cover them.  The Go Fund Me funds will be used to pay these bills and my future health issues.  The monetary support will in fact help support my husband and me until he can find a good paying job. As soon as I can begin receiving funds it will help lesson my worries, give me peace and future life enjoyment. I have always been an advocate to other patients at the City of Hope in the Infusion Center.  Over the last fifteen years, I have been an advocate to assist friends, family and others who have been stricken with cancer.  I am called upon by The Seal Beach Police Department to advocate to newly diagnosed officers. I have volunteered my time, created auction baskets and donated floral leis and bicycles to the St Baldricks Foundation to find a cure for Childhood cancer based in Long Beach California along with Hennessey's Tavern in Seal Beach for the last seven years.  I am strong willed, support driven and have a great attitude so the support I need now will mean so much to me.  Paying it forward is a motto I live by and always will for as long as I live.  Thank you in advance for reading my story and I look forward to the support and understanding I know I will receive.
