Support for Beth McAllister

Elizabeth “Beth” McAllister knows what it means to give.  As a Parkinson’s nurse, a mother of a precocious four-year old son, and a supportive wife who provides for her husband, Beth is the ultimate giver, but, now, more than ever, she needs us to give to her.  And, the truth is, she’d never ask for our help, so we, her friends, have started this page on her behalf.

For months, we listened as Beth complained about feeling tired, but we thought nothing of it.  To be honest, a tired nurse or a tired mother of a four-year old is completely normal.  But, her level of fatigue wasn't normal.  She didn’t recuperate over weekends or bounce back after vacations.  When she started to recognize the abnormality in her fatigue, she saw the doctor.  And, tests were run.  A colonoscopy found a mass in her colon and a CT scan found that cancer had metastasized to her liver.  We were in shock.  Even has health care professionals, you never see disease coming.

Now, at 33, she is undergoing chemo treatment for stage IV colon cancer while trying to care for her patients, her husband, and her four-year old son. 

Now, we want to care for Beth.  She will need all the help any of us can give.  Can you help?  Any funds raised will be used to help with expenses, medical costs, and childcare costs during this difficult time.  No donation is too small and everything you have to give is appreciated.
