Benson has been diagnosed of Bilateral Polycystic Kidney Disease.
Benson is a left hand amputee after a ghastly road accident on May 11, 1998. He has been a hardworking man, catering for his family and service to community. Benson has been in and out of the hospital and doctor's offices trying to figure out what is causing his failing health. He has had 2 surgeries (removal of appendix and hernia) with the hope that this will alleviate the situation which did not. Complications set in with chronic anemia and rectal bleeding a few days after the 2nd surgery in early February 2018. He is currently at the Warri Central Hospital where he has had a few sessions of dialysis which is very expensive but Benson needs kidney transplant to live.
