As some of you may know, my mother Patty has been suffering greatly the past couple months and unfortunately is no longer in the condition to take care of her beloved cat of 9 years, Bella. I am unable to take her in as my boyfriend and I already have two male cats in a small apartment, but it's important to me to ensure Bella has a safe and loving home to live out the rest of her life without the risk of ending up in a kill shelter.
After much research, I was able to find a fantastic cat sanctuary in Los Angeles called the Pet Pride Cat Shelter (http://www.petpride.org/) that would take Bella in and give her a forever home. The sanctuary is highly regarded and has been saving cats surrendered by their owners since 1965. While the $2,500 fee might sound high, it’s actually substantially cheaper than any other cat sanctuary in SoCal, most of which are in the $5,000 to $7,500 range. The fee guarantees Bella a large, free-roaming open environment to live in that will also cover her lifetime medical, food and maintenance costs, which will largely surpass the $2,500 cost over the rest of her life.
Bella is greatly loved by my mother, as they have shared a very special bond the past 9 years, so I want to do everything in my power to honor Bella’s wellbeing and give her a great home. Any donation you are able to make, no matter the size, would mean a great deal to Patty and would go a long way to ensuring that Bella is able to live out the rest of her days peacefully.
