About Our Program:
Bees Blossom is a nonprofit organization that provides a mentoring program for female youth in the Sumter County area. Our mission is to empower young girls, to help them build self-esteem, embrace individuality, develop leadership skills, and recognize the value of community service and sisterhood.
Our program is in direct response to the growing number of girls either falling through the cracks at school or becoming entangled within the adversities of life.
The goal of the program is to identify middle school girls transitioning to high school offering them a positive support system which will help them avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. As the old proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child”. Bees Blossom believe through our joint efforts, we can, we will, raise our girls to be the women of tomorrow.
Your donation will not only impact our program but the life of these girls. Our program is currently implemented in four local schools. Funding will allow us to expand our initiative making our program assessable to all schools in Sumter County. Your contributions will also assist with our biweekly life and literacy sessions, fund scholarships, assist with age-appropriate community events, purchase learning and resource material and encourage and provide means towards community service efforts.
