Bean & Leaf

Bean & Leaf Coffee bar opened in New London, CT in July 2007 with the goal of becoming a favorite place for people to relax and enjoy quality beverages and light fare. At the 5 year mark "The Bean" as regulars now call us, has made it's mark having won CT Magazine's "Coffee Bar Of The Year" for each of the last 3 years. While we are proud of this success, but there is much more that we want to do. We feel that it is imperative that people are able to have access to organic, non-gmo, local food when they go out to eat. There is also a lack of gluten free choices in the area and we would like to address these issues. This is becoming more and more difficult with the saturation of factory farms and sugar infused products that are now found in nearly every product in our supermarkets and restaurants.

We would like to be an exception and move back to real food with real ingredients. It is our goal to be able to have a menu that can offer completely organic items at a reasonable price. To do this will require a bigger kitchen than our current location can house. We have found a location in New London that will allow us to increase our ability to prepare organic foods from scratch. 

We have come within $50,000 of our required financing of $500,000 to make this project a reality. With your help we can reach this goal!  We are looking to raise at least $25,000 through our GoFundMe project while at the same time we are liquidating all non-essential assets to meet our budget.
