Creative Entrepreneurs Need A Workspace

Donation protected

Dear Community:

We are a collective of artists, designers, fabricators, artisans, makers and many others who are at risk of shuttering their creative businesses.

The large industrial warehouse in which our small creative businesses are currently located got sold in November 2021 and all tenants must go.
This same property exchanged hands previously in 2015, the rent hike and other changes by the owner resulted in the dissolution of the nation's largest industrial art studios (American Steel Studios). Only a small percentage of creatives could afford to stay.
And now, the newest Real Estate investment group has terminated everyone’s lease.
Some of us have organized to collectively move together.

Our primary goal is to purchase a building to provide long term stability for ourselves and any displaced artisans in the future.
Our "Plan B" is to negotiate a long-term lease. But, whether it's a purchase or a lease, the more space we can afford the more artisan businesses will be able to survive this forced displacement.
We aim to prevent the permanent shuttering of numerous artisan businesses...with your help...we can make it happen!

We seek financial assistance to cover down payment on the purchase of a building, legal fees, Broker fees and security deposits  for artists who will become tenants there. Some funds may be utilized for moving costs or temporary storage if we don't find a new location before end August/September 2022.

In case you were wondering... local cities officials ignored our plea for support.

The benefit of having artists, artisans and designers, fabricators and other creatives thrive in your city is everywhere you look.
Custom painted signs or windows, wall murals under the bridge or in a restaurant, sculptures in the park or playgrounds, interior and exterior of modern and vintage homes, custom home and office architecture, restaurant design and decor, theater production, and many other areas of your life are positively influenced by a creative business or individual in some way.

If you’d like to see these creatives continue to thrive successfully then please support them now.

~ THANK YOU KINDLY ~
