Bassetlaw Hospital, ATC Ward and Children’s Ward

Donation protected
Harrison, aged 8, has set himself a massive challenge to run 69 miles in 6 weeks. Harrison is a huge Manchester City fan and this is the distance from our house to the Ethiad Stadium, the home of Manchester City. Harrison is raising money for the Assessment Treatment Centre and Children’s Ward at Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop. Harrison came up with this idea by himself and wanted to raise money for the ATC Ward at Bassetlaw Hospital, the doctors and nurses on this ward are frontline with Covid patients and have worked super long hours throughout the pandemic. Harrison wanted to raise enough money to buy the amazing doctors and nurses refreshments and toiletries as they are showering at work after their shift. He set himself a goal of £300.00. Harrison raised £500.00 in 24 hours! This changed everything, it meant Harrison could do more and was so excited he could help others. We spoke to the ATC Ward and they gave us their wish list; televisions for each bay and radios for each side room. Some of the patients are very lonely and have no visitors so the days can be very long, a TV or radio would be a great help. Harrison was over the moon when he realised how much his money was going to help! Harrison has decided he would also like to help the Children’s Ward at Bassetlaw hospital. They have also done us a wish list, this includes; sensory toy kits, play station games, trains and cars, a deluxe road train track and some sound vehicle’s. This would help the ward so much, and would bring a huge smile to the poorly children’s faces! Both wards have said they don’t expect anything and are grateful for whatever Harrison achieves but Harrison is adamant he is getting everything on both wish lists! We have raised the goal amount to 1200.00 and hopefully he can make this happen! Harrison is well on track for achieving his challenge and has completed 11.2 miles in 5 days! All donations are greatly appreciated and will help achieve this little boys hopes for helping as many doctors, nurses and patients as possible.
