Barringer Flood Recovery Fund

My sister's home in Friendswood, TX experienced at least four feet of flooding from Hurricane Harvey's downpour. Jay, Courtney, Collin (7), Cameron (7), and Colton (4) need to replace their personal items, cars, clothes, furniture, household goods, and locate temporary housing until their home is livable again. Anything helps as they try to find normalcy after this devastating flood. All funds will go directly to the Barringer family.

Late Saturday (8/26) evening, Hurricane Harvey’s heavy rain and the rising nearby creek forced my sister, her husband, and three children to flee to a neighbor’s two-story home for higher ground.

In the early morning hours of Sunday (8/27), they watched with fear for their lives as water rose halfway up the stairs. Thanks to some kind strangers on a boat, the Barringer family (along with their three animals and what few belongings they could grab), were finally brought to dry land.

Update as of 8/31:
Courtney and Jay returned to their house to assess to the damage yesterday. All the furniture was toppled around and not salvageable, however they were able to recover many family photos (thankfully!). I want to sincerely thank every single person who donated to this fund.
