As of November 10th, Barbara is no longer with us. We are deeply saddened as the family tries to pool money together for funeral services. At this time, nothing is arranged. Please assist as much as possible and this family prepares for this hard time.
Barbara Manning is an outgoing, loving, vibrant single mother of two, Quadasia and Quintin. Barbara has been through more than enough medical struggles than one person should have to endure. Barbara struggles with Ulcerative Colitis for over 15 years. She got to a point where the medication perscribed by her doctors were no longer controlling the disease, which lead to surgery to remove the infected portion of her intestines.
Shortly after healing and moving forward post surgery, Barbara was diagnosed with skin cancer. Did that knock her down? No. Barbara is a fighter and made it through that battle as well. In the years to follow Barbara has spent a significant amount of time in the hospital due to numerous ailments.
About 4 weeks ago Barbara was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. Her doctors were optimistic that they caught it early and this battle could be won as well. As of November 1st, Barbaras doctors are no longer optomistic. They believe the cancer has since spread, and due to all of Barbara's previous medical history, she would not be an elligible transplant recipient and her family was recently informed they may only have weeks left with her.
With Quadasia, the oldest child, being the next in line, this is a lot for her to have to handle. She is a very strong and independant woman who has learned everything she knows from her mother. This fundraiser is to assist the family with not only the medical bills incurred, but the other expenses that will come up along the way.
Quadasia and her brother will be left to figure out where to go from here, and now is when they need the most help. Please help and support Barbara and her two children get through this terrible time.
