On February 18, 2008 I was waiting, in the fourth Doctor's office for that year, which this time I had chosen a neurologist.  This visit was for the  "final" diagnosis after two weeks of tests on me.  I was thinking "It's gonna be another it's all in your head diagnosis".   I was right!!! - I was told I have Acute Relapsing/Remitting Mutiple Sclerosis (RRMS) and their is no cure for it you can only treat the symptoms.  I was so thrilled to have a diagnosis I missed the "Life Altering Diagnosis Part".  Not realizing what MS really meant at that time.

Relapsing/Remitting Multiple Sclerosis is an auto-immume disease that attacks the nervous system, My MS attacked my brain. This means my immune system is attacking the coatings (ie:insulation  on a wire) of my nerves causing the signals to short out.  In addition to eating my nerves in my brain, it also has eaten holes in the right frontal lobe which is short-term memory and sequencing. I am 55 years old and can NOT do even simple math now.  I was a CFO for 17 years BEFORE MS. I also have too many lesions to count per the MRI.  It has given me permanent brain damage and lowered my IQ. 

MS has also attacked my digestive system, creating IBS, UC with constipation, Gerd, stomach (constant vomiting), my eyes, and now I am having hearing loss!, plus I have developed Auto-immune Hepatitis which means my immune system is now attacking my liver, always having to add another pill to my DAILY Maintenance drugs.  I take 26 other pills besides my chemo everyday.  This is why I'm drowning in "Prescription and Medical" bills.  My Out-of-pocket through 6/2014 is already at $12,000.  I have exhausted all my resources.  All credit cards are maxed for medical expenses.
