We are the men of The Phi Omicron Chapter. an unincorporated entity of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity located in San Diego, CA. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on the evening of November 17, 1911 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. The fraternity was founded on the cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.
The Phi Omicron Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc was chartered November 1st, 1949. The mission of our chapter is to be the foremost fraternal organization in San Diego in service, professionalism, and brotherhood. We aim to positively impact the community of San Diego through community service and civic duty.
For the last 10 years we have passed out Turkey Dinners for Thanksgiving to families in need. We have grown from our first year delivering 5 dinners to last year providing to over 100 families. Over the years we have fed over 1,000 families for this effort. This year we are aiming to increase those efforts.
All chapter projects and efforts are funded by the chapter members and community donations. This is why we are reaching out to the community for support.
This year we are partnering with Christian Life Center of San Diego (CLCSD), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - San Diego Alumnae Chapter (SDAC), and Restore, Uplift & Hope (RUH) San Diego, Inc.
We are looking to raise $3000.00 this year to fund this program. This will allow us to support 150 families.
