So what’s the plan you may ask? I want to supply 100 book bags filled with quality school supplies. Students at this school have very limited supplies. The families are strapped financially and with the burden of paying the school’s tuition and costs of uniforms. Each bag that will be provided will be filled with the necessary supplies to start the school year. Each bag costs $20 to assemble, which brings our goal to $2000. We hope to have all donations in by August 10.  $5, $10 or $20 - any amount will help!!

- Spiral notebooks
- Composition books
- Folders
- Pencils
- Pens
- Sharpener
- Markers
- Paint Kit
- Crayons
- Eraser
- Glue
- Scissors


Who?

Hi, I’m Antonia Jones and I teach at Wyncote Elementary School. I love my job and the lives I get to impact every day. As I see myself as an agent of change,
I am super excited to share that myself and a group of close friends will be traveling to Haiti.  We  visited “Ecole Notre- Dame Du Mont-Carmel” located in Canara, Haiti in December 2016 on a mission. We saw a great opportunity to not only help others but educate people here about the great impact we can have.




When?
When should you donate? I’ll be going to Haiti August 15th, 2017. Therefore my goal is to have the cost of all 100 backpacks paid in full prior to my trip. At just $20 per bag, I’m sure we will hit this milestone



Where?
Again, the school I chose to adopt is called “Ecole Notre- Dame Du Mont- Carmel” located in Canara, Haiti. It’s a public school for students from grades K through 6th, with a mixture of grade students and 7 staff members.


Why?

Schools in Haiti are not free. Schools in Haiti are not free. Canara is an area that was built to relocate families after the tragic earthquake in 2010. The area had no school at the time, so a local pastor took the initiative and helped to build one for the kids. Why should you donate? Donate because we have the chance to have an impact on the lives of children. Yes, knowledge is power. And with your donation, we will assist these children in building a foundation that can help them make choices in life that will not only change their lives, but the lives of their families also. Let’s give them that chance.


Non Profit:
I will be working with a non- profit organization, Health Exposure and Longevity Project, Inc (http://www.myhelpinc.org/). Its mission is to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health of local and international disadvantaged communities. Please note that all donations to "myhelp.inc."are tax deductible, and are deeply appreciated.
