Baby Amara the fighter

Donation protected
I made this for Mariah and  Buck so while they are going through this hard time they won't have to worrie about money and they can focus on being there  for Amara and being together.
This is Amara's story..

Amara NaKaya Gilchrist was born July 25th at noon, at 31 weeks and 6 days old at Riverbed Hospital. An ultrasound showed a dark mass on her liver that caused her to become unresponsive until after an emergency C section. She was sent to the OHSU hospital in Portland after the MRI and CT scan identified a 2×3 inch internal tumor on her liver called an infantile hepatic hemangioma tumor. The tumor is made up of blood vessels, and drains her blood of platelets (which have to do with your bloods ability to clot and coagulate), and because of that they are trying alternative treatments over survery. Two days ago she began the first of a steroid treatment set, and our family is waiting to see if it is effective in shrinking her tumor-the hemotologists and specialists have other plans in place if this first medication doesn't work for her. We are staying in the Ronald McDonald housing to be near her in Portland, we are with her every single day and I plan to stay in Portland until I bring her home. Once we see her stabilized and make sure the treatment is working, Buck plans to return to work to help support the family, we need the consolation of progress first though. She is now 7 days old. Although the tumor is rare, it is not cancerous...we believe she's strong enough to beat this ❤
