FET Funds for Baby Tank

Donation protected
Rob and Lindsay Tankersley are good friends of mine and just generally awesome people.  While all good friendships have things in common, unfortunately one of the common threads between us is infertility.

They have been trying to have a baby since 2010 and have endured a lot in their efforts to have a child.  Through the years they tried naturally, did various fertility tests to try to identify potential issues, and had three failed IUI procedues.  In 2016 they got the news that IVF was their only and best bet.  They spent much of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 raising funds to be able to do this very expensive procedure.

In March of 2017 they did a fresh IVF procedure, which led to a positive pregnancy test followed quickly by an early miscarriage at 5 weeks.  Fortunately, this fresh cycle yielded 7 frozen embryos, so they tried again with a frozen embryo transfer in late April.   Again, they were cautiously optimistic when they received a positive pregnancy test, but had another miscarriage at 5 weeks gestation.

Since then, they have had some tests done to determine the cause of the miscarriages.  There have been no definite answers, but the doctors are hopeful to have a plan in place for them to be able to succesfully carry a pregnancy to term.

They are fortunate to have five frozen embryos left, but after the thousands and thousands of dollars already paid for all of the procedures to date, they are finding themselves back at square one, needing to raise funds for their next frozen embryo transfer.

Their doctor has quoted them a discounted price for this procedure, but it expires at the end of August.   The discount is a blessing, and the fact that they only have to raise enough for a frozen embryo transfer and not a full fresh cycle is a blessing, but the $2400  they need to raise in a month is certainly very daunting.

I know first hand how much infertility hurts.  It was an excrutiating road for us to travel and it is terrible to watch such wonderful people go through it as well.  Let's help lift the burden of the price tag these treatments require and chip in to help Rob and Lindsay fund their frozen embryo transfer.  Any amount helps and will bring them one step closer to holding Baby Tank in their arms at last.
