Update: 13th April: Baby Jake continues on his road to recovery and will soon be discharged from his long hospital stay to go home for the first time since being born. We are all overjoyed at the amazing progress this wonderful baby has made, a truly brave little baby.

Our nephew was born on 23rd Feb 14, with heart/lung problems in Worthing. Transferred to Trevor Mann Unit where he was too sick to stay, so transported up to London. He is a true fighter and miracle baby who is defying all the odds with his truly amazing survival. During his first heart surgery he suffered a cardiac arrest and his parents were told to expect the worst. After eleven hours, this brave little man was taken to PICU very poorly but fighting on. To date, he is going to be in London for at least the next four months with further heart surgeries. Although staying in charity accomodation, the cost of travel and living for the parents is extortionate and an added stress. Dad, Lee is self-employed and so whilst staying with baby Jake he doesnt earn, but rent/bills still have to be paid. It is imperative that Mum and Dad are able to stay with their poorly baby during this time as his condition changes daily, but they need funds to be able to.
Hence this fundraising page we have set up for this special little family to be together during this traumatic time.

Update 24th March: Baby Jake has had his second open heart surgery and remains in intensive care. He is being well cared for by the wonderful staff of the Evelina Children's Hospital in London and his parents remain by his bedside. Thank you everyone for your on-going support.
Update 26 March: Baby Jake continues to amaze us all with his fighting spirit. A real miracle, still in intensive care but small steps forward. We have reached 90% of our fundraising goal, which is fantastic. Please help us reach our target - Thankyou
Update 31 March: Emma was able to have her first Mothers Day with this very special little boy. He is doing well and we pray this continues. Thank-you for your continued support.
Update 5th April: Baby Jake is out of intensive care at six weeks old. He continues to receive special care at the wonderful Evelina Childrens Hospital in London. He is making progress to the delight of his parents and family. Thankyou all for your support
Update 9th April: Our little fighter is making huge steps on his road to recovery with his mummy and daddy by his side. Fingers crossed he will be transferred to Trevor Mann Unit in Brighton this week. Your support has been invaluable to Emma and Lee.
