Ian Alexander's Home Going

Ian Alexander Leon Santiago was born in May 2016 with a critical congenial heart defect called Double Outlet Right Ventrical with Subaortic VSD and Pulmonary Stenosis (DORV). This past May he celebrated his 1st birthday with family and friends and much fun was to be had.  In his short, 17 month long life he has won the hearts of family, friends, doctors, nurses and strangers. He is an amazing little boy with amazing energy whose body could not sustain, keep up, or handle. Those who met him could not walk away without feeling love for him. Ian was admitted in August for congestive heart failure and remained in critical condition since then. Our brave little warrior fought a good fight with the help of the amazing doctors and nurses at Montefiore's Children's Hospital (CHAM). Unfortunately, his condition has declined and a match for a heart transplant was not found in time. We are now prepping as a family for his transition. As you may imagine and know it has been very difficult for all of us. We set up this GoFundMe today so that our close friends and families may contribute to the potential upcoming costs, at their request.
