Help Baby Amerie Fight Brain Cancer

My 10 month old niece, Amerie, is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. She was recently diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain tumor/cancer, AT/RT. She was a happy and smart baby. She was surpassing her twin sister in all her milestones and then, in November, she just stopped. No more smiles, no more crawling, just constant crying.



For months, the doctors blamed it on constipation. However, my sister-in-law followed her instincts and took her to multiple hospitals until one doctor took her concerns seriously. She fought to have additional tests run and that's when they discovered the brain tumor. It's been a nightmare for the family ever since.

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are trying to get the best possible treatment for Baby Amerie. Therefore, they have made the decision to transfer her to an out-of-state hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Most parents are not prepared for a heartache like this.
