Baby Adrian's Rare Liver Cancer

Jackie has been my trusted nanny but more importantly a beloved member of our family for 15+ years.  Jackie started babysitting with her mom when she was just 9 years old and she was literally the only babysitter my 3 daughters ever had.  When I no longer needed a nanny for my girls, she began taking care of my precious nephews.  In addition, her dad and brothers have cared for our lawn and helped us with countless chores.  The Serrano Family has helped many of my friends and family members over the years.  To say Jackie (and the Serrano Family) means the world to me and my family is an understatement!  

In the last year and a half, we have had the priveledge to watch her blossom in her new role as mother.  In February 2016, she gave birth to her first child, Adrian.  Adrian lights up the room.  He is the sweetest boy you will ever meet.  His smile is infectious and he charms everyone around him with his silly personality.  He is the apple of his family's eyes.

A few weeks ago, Adrian began running a low grade fever and vomitting.  Jackie thought it was a virus but it continued to linger for 3 weeks.  Her pediatrician was not concerned but Jackie's gut was telling her something different.  On July 19th, she brought him to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta where they diagnosed him with hemangiocarcinoma (a very rare liver cancer that accounts for only 1% of cases and is extremely rare in children) and the beginning stages of lung cancer.  Due to the size of the tumor on Adrian's liver, the doctors are unable to operate and remove it.  He needs to have several, aggressive rounds of chemotherapy in the hopes that the tumor reduces in size enough to operate.  Jackie and the Serrano family are devastated but are remaining faithful to God that Adrian will fight this battle and win.  

This family is hardworking but is completely overwhelmed with the excessive cost of treating Adrian.  The doctors are hopeful he will win his battle.  Please, please, please consider donating to this sweet family.  They are incredibly hardworking and never ask for anything.  If anyone deserves a little help, it is them!  I have set up this GOFUNDME account to help with Adrian's extremely high medical bills and hopefully lighten their load just a little bit.
