Kyra Ritchie Family Fund

Please help support Kyra and the Ritchie family. For the last 9 months Kyra had been suffering from headaches and blurry vision and was recently diagnosed with a pseudotumor celebri/intracranial hypertension. She went in for a fairly routine surgery on May 16, 2017 to have a stent placed so things could work properly again and save her vision. During the surgery complications occurred which resulted in a major stroke and brain damage - A parent's worst nightmare!

Kyra's mom Kelly raised the older two kids (Kyra and her older sister, Kaylah) as a single mother and they have an incredible bond. As a young mom, Kelly and her girls did everything together and became best friends, each others touch stones, 'kindred spirits'. The Ritchie family currently all live under one roof and Kyra, with all her spunk, compassion, and love is the glue to the family. Her beautiful, old soul is driven by an innate desire to do for others, thriving on giving back, volunteering, coaching community cheer, helping friends, and lending a helping hand anywhere she can. She is as fiercely passionate about her family as they are about her, maintaining special relationships with Kaylah, their baby brother Camden, and her little niece, Brixton. They are her world and she theirs! Kyra is sweet and sentimental, partial to animals, or anyone in need...

Recently, despite any setbacks with her health, Kyra has been determined to complete a 100 mile running challenge in May with her mom and family friend. They are 2.83 miles away from that goal! She even encouraged and inspired her mom to join a C25K running program with her and they've worked so hard on this journey together!

Kyra remains in a coma as she tries to heal. There are some flickers of improvements and the family remains hopeful but no matter what happens the road will be long and require an immense amount of strength.
There can truly be nothing more excruciating than seeing your child in these circumstances. Just waiting to see that light in her eyes we all love so much! They are hoping and praying for a miracle to bring their beautiful, loving , caring, smart and feisty Kyra back to them! Kyra is only 26, adventurous and deserves to experience so many more things in life. We thank you all for the love and support during this unimaginable and trying time. #BTMKYRA #bethemiracleKyra
